The National Police Memorial, located in Kings Park, Canberra, was dedicated on National Police Remembrance Day on 29 September 2006.
The Memorial pays tribute to Australian police officers who have been killed on duty or have died as a result of their duties since the advent of policing in Australia and recognises the unique nature of police service and the dangers that police face in their daily pursuits. More information about the Memorial is provided in the NPM Information Sheet (PDF, 150KB).
Recognition and Ceremonial conducts VIP visits to the National Police Memorial and offers educational visits to schools.
All names that appear on the Memorial and the honour roll have been supplied by each of the State, Territory and Federal Police Services. Please direct any inquiries relating to the names included on the Memorial to the police service in your jurisdiction.
