Assistant Commissioner Ramzi Jabbour presently performs the role of National Manager, Crime Operations. He was appointed to this role in April 2010 and he is responsible for AFP investigations encompassing people smuggling, human trafficking, drugs response, fraud and other special references.

Assistant Commissioner Jabbour joined the AFP in 1990 and has extensive operational experience in a wide array of disciplines including community policing, money laundering, counter terrorism, major drug importation and trafficking, people smuggling, serious fraud and human trafficking.

He also has extensive experience in, and has contributed significantly to the development of policy, procedures and legislation relevant to Commonwealth investigations. Assistant Commissioner Jabbour has been instrumental in the AFP's strengthening engagement with regional law enforcement partners.

Assistant Commissioner Jabbour was awarded the Australian Police Medal in 2012 for distinguished service to Federal Operations, in particular Counter Terrorism and Border Operations.
