This is a statement of legal services expenditure by the Australian Federal Police for the 2007-08 financial year, published in compliance with paragraph 11.1(ba) of the Legal Services Directions 2005.
Agency's total legal services expenditure [GST inclusive] – approximately $6,123,060.32 comprising the following;
Agency's external legal services expenditure [GST inclusive] - $3,221,824.32
- External expenditure on solicitors - $2,522,749.90
- External expenditure on counsel - $581,613.98
- Briefs to male counsel – 36
- Value of briefs to male counsel - $412,635.09
- Briefs to female counsel – 8
- Value of briefs to female counsel - $168,978.89
Agency's internal legal services expenditure [GST inclusive] – approximately $2,901,236.00 including on-costs.
