Armed robbery, Mawson - 10 May 2004

ACT Policing seeks your assistance in identifying two armed robbers wanted for the armed robbery and shooting of two Chubb security guards at Club Mawson on 10 May 2004.
The two offenders shot a security guard during the armed robbery at around 3.45pm as they transferred money bags from the club to their van. Detectives believe the offenders waited at a bus stop adjacent to the Mawson Club on Heard Street for almost an hour before attacking the two guards and escaping.

Offender one
Caucasian male; 30-40 yrs; 175-180 cm tall; medium - solid build; pale complexion; light brown-grey shoulder length hair; possibly with beard; wearing a long sleeve maroon/red coloured flannelette shirt and long dark coloured pants.
Offender two
20-30 yrs; 180cm tall; thin-medium build; olive complexion; medium length dark hair; possibly with facial hair; wearing a dark coloured beanie, long sleeve blue coloured flannelette shirt and long dark coloured pants.
Police are particularly keen to determine the registration number of a late model silver coloured hatchback seen fleeing the scene. The vehicle sought by police is described as a silver coloured two door hatchback, with rear roof spoiler, black strip along both sides, tinted windows and long horizontal shaped rear lights. The vehicle drove along Heard Street, turned right onto Mawson Drive and then left onto Hurley Street. The vehicle was last seen travelling north on Hurley Street, Mawson.
