The exercise simulated a terrorist act at a bus interchange at Belconnen, a commercial hub in Canberra’s north, and involved the evacuation of some 6500 people from buildings in the immediate area. The third and final day of the exercise, within a controlled environment in a disused building, saw police teams practise tactical resolutions.

The exercise was created to enhance the capabilities and interoperability of AFP-ACT Policing and emergency services in responding to a potential incident.
