Witnesses sought to Eastlakes aggravated robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an armed robbery of the Eastlakes Football Club in Oxley Street, Kingston this morning.
Around 4.50am, a male entered the premises and threatened staff with a firearm.
The offender fled with a sum of cash. He was last seen running towards Giles Street.
General Duties police and a K9 team responded but were unable to locate the offender.
The offender was described as being about 30 years of age, 170 -175cm (5’7” – 5’9”) tall and of stocky build. He was wearing dark clothing and had a balaclava covering his face with a hood over the top of his head.
Police would urge anyone who saw a person answering this description in the area at the time of the offence, or has any other knowledge about the robbery, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
