Garran arrest brings multiple charges

ACT Policing have arrested and charged two men for multiple offences following their apprehension in Garran about 4:10pm yesterday (July 11).

 

Members of the Specialist Response and Security (SRS) team intercepted the stolen Toyota Corolla containing the alleged offenders in Kitchener Street.

 

Following the arrests, police executed two warrants; a Drugs of Dependence search warrant on a premise in Griffith and a Crimes Act search warrant on a Phillip residence.

 

Following these warrants, police have laid a series of charges against the alleged offenders.

 

The 20-year-old from Richardson will face ACT Magistrates Court this morning (July 12) charged with one count of burglary, receive stolen property, attempt theft and ride in motor vehicle without consent.

 

The 36-year-old of no fixed abode will face ACT Magistrates Court this morning(July 12) charged with one count of drive motor vehicle without consent, breach of bail and a warrant in the first instance.
