24-year-old to face sex assault charge

ACT Policing has arrested a 24-year-old man for sexual intercourse without consent with a woman on Sunday (June 29).
Detectives from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team will allege the offence occurred at the offender’s Braddon home around 7.30pm on Sunday, after he had invited the 27-year-old victim over to watch a movie.
The alleged offender was arrested after he surrendered to police at City Police Station about 11am today (July 2).
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (July 3) charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent.
