31-year-old to face armed robbery charge

A 31-year-old male will face armed robbery charges following an incident in Griffith about 11.45am on Saturday (July 19).
Police will allege the male was one of three offenders responsible for staff being locked in a security compound whilst cash and cigarettes were stolen from the business premises.
Information from the general public led to the arrest of the alleged offender about 9pm on Saturday (July 19).
As a result of his arrest, members of the Territory Investigations Group (TIG) executed a warrant on a Kingston premise yesterday (July 20) and seized a number of property items.

The 31-year-old is due to face one count of aggravated robbery in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (July 21).
