Chainsaws stolen; witnesses sought

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a burglary at a Fyshwick business premises in the early hours of Saturday, August 16.
Police were called to the Fyshwick Outdoor Power Centre around 7am on August 16, when it was reported that there had been forced entry to the front door of the premises and up to 10 Stihl chainsaws, with an approximate combined value of up to $15,000, had been stolen.
An alarm activation had occurred at the premises around 4.15am.
Police have issued a caution that should any members of the public be approached to purchase goods that are known to be stolen, that this constitutes an offence. Any such approach should be reported to police immediately.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious persons or activity in the area of Wiluna Street, Fyshwick , very early on Saturday morning, August 16, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
