Fatal collision; Hughes

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are investigating a fatal collision which occurred around 3.30am today (June 30).
The single-vehicle-collision occurred on Yarra Glen, Hughes when the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree in the median strip.
The male driver is yet to be identified. He was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the collision.
The cause of the collision is yet to be determined.
Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the white Mitsubishi Lancer travelling south on Yarra Glen prior to the collision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
This collision brings the 2008 ACT Road Toll to seven.
