Man shot; witnesses sought

ACT Policing is investigating the shooting of a 37-year-old man in Wanniassa around 8.30pm last night (June 24).
The victim states he was walking on Sternberg Crescent, Wanniassa when a vehicle drove past firing shots at him.
The Wanniassa man suffered two gun shot wounds to his legs and is currently undergoing treatment in The Canberra Hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police would urge anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the Wanniassa area last night, or who may have heard gun shots to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the web site www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
