Man to face drug, traffic charges

A 39-year-old Kaleen man will face the ACT Magistrates Court next week after being arrested on drug charges yesterday (July 10).
Officers from the Territory Investigations Group (TIG) conducted a traffic stop on the man’s vehicle in Ellenborough Street, Kaleen about 1.20pm yesterday and seized a number of suspected amphetamine-type substances including ‘speed’ and ‘ice’.
He was arrested and conveyed to the Regional Watch House where he was later bailed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on July 18.
He is expected to face drug possession and trafficking offences, and using an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
