Police seek witnesses to Fadden burglary

ACT Policing are calling for witnesses to an incident in Fadden today (July 4) at around 2pm.

Police arrived within minutes to the Fihelly Street address after a report of an offender on premises.

The male offender was disturbed by a resident who was at home at the time. The male then fled the scene towards Castleton Crescent. No property was taken.

Police conducted an extensive search of the area but were unable to locate the male offender. He is described as Caucasian, aged in his mid-to-late twenties, 180cm (5’11”) tall, clean shaven and wearing a sports cap, a red jacket and dark trousers.

Acting Superintendent Jeff Knight has reminded the community to be alert to suspicious activity.

“This crime was committed during daylight hours and is a reminder that people should remain alert to suspicious activity occurring in and around their local neighbourhood and report this to police,” Acting Superintendent Knight said.
