Suspicious male in Lyneham

ACT Policing are investigating an incident which occurred between Lyneham shops and Lyneham High School yesterday (June 27).

A 16-year-old student was walking from the shops to the school about 5.30pm, when a male approached her and asked her to go with him and pointed towards storm water drains.

The girl did not respond to the man and ran off, reporting the incident to her teacher at the school.

The man is described as Caucasian, 60 years old, 175cm (5’6”) tall, with a medium build and short grey hair.

Police would urge anyone who may have witnessesed suspicious activity in the Lyneham area around this time to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
