Friday, 06 June 2008

A joint ACT Policing initiative has resulted in the arrest of a 15-year-old Chisholm youth after a search warrant was executed on his home today (June 6).

Police began the investigation after information from an anonymous source was received via Crime Stoppers. The source had sighted the youth driving an alleged stolen motor vehicle and reported the information via the 1800 333 000 number.

The warrant has resulted in the recovery of stolen property from three alleged burglaries. Numerous other items have been seized as being suspected stolen property including a replica firearm.

The alleged offender has been arrested and will face the ACT Children’s Court at a date yet to be fixed, charged with three counts of burglary, theft, possession of stolen property and driving a stolen motor vehicle.
