Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Kambah just before 9pm on Saturday (July 26).

Police were called to Weavell Place after it was reported a male had been grabbed by the arm, threatened at knife-point and forced to release items of property. The man was unharmed during the robbery but a mobile telephone was taken.

The male offender is described as Caucasian, 5’11” (180cm) tall; slim to medium build, and wearing a black hooded jacket with a black-and-white print on the front and white shoes. The offender was accompanied by two other males. They were also described as Caucasian, 5’11” (180cm) tall and wearing dark-coloured clothing with possible hoods.

The three male offenders left the scene on foot across Athlon Drive, heading in the direction of the Red Rooster restaurant at the Wanniassa shops.

Police would urge anyone who may know the identity of the alleged offenders, or may have seen three males matching the description and acting suspiciously around Weavell Place, Kambah, or the Wanniassa shops to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online to www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
