Woman charged for alleged neglect

ACT Policing has arrested a 35-year-old woman on multiple charges including neglect of children today (June 25).
Police attended the alleged offender’s home in Ainslie on Sunday night (June 22) after an allegation was made to police that she had breached a protection order.
At the residence police will allege they found four children aged five, seven, 10 and 13, at home alone and living in unhygienic conditions.
The children, three boys and one girl, were taken into the custody of Care and Protection after police contacted them.
Around 12.10pm today police located the alleged offender and arrested her for contravening an order, intentionally threaten to kill a person, use a carriage service to threaten to kill, and four counts of neglecting a child.
The alleged offender will face the ACT Magistrates Court this afternoon on the above charges.
