Investigation continues into Spence stabbing

ACT Policing is continuing to investigate an incident at a residence in Spence which occurred yesterday (June 2) where a 22-year-old man received a number of stab wounds.

Investigations indicate the man was stabbed at a residence in O’Neill Street about 4.45pm before stumbling to the Spence shops and collapsing.

ACT Ambulance attended and treated the man at the scene before transporting him to Canberra Hospital.

The man underwent surgery. He remains in a critical condition however his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Forensics has completed their examination of the scene.

Inquiries are continuing to locate the offender.
