Police seek witnesses to Phillip robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a robbery which occurred in a car park on Keltie Street in Phillip today (June 4).
Around 1.50pm a 52-year-old Forrest man left the Commonwealth Bank at Woden Plaza with money in a bank bag. As the victim went to drive away a male offender has opened the passenger-side door and taken the bag out of the vehicle. The offender then made off with the bag of cash in the direction of Melrose Drive, Lyons.
The offender is described as Caucasian, in his 20s, around 183cm (6’) tall, with brown hair and was wearing a long-sleeved royal-blue top and black track suit pants.
AFP Forensic Services attended the scene.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious persons or activity in the area of Woden Plaza early this afternoon to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
