Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery of a service station in Manuka yesterday (June 8).
About 7.30am, a male offender entered the Shell service station on Canberra Avenue, threatened a staff member with a knife and demanded money before fleeing the store with a small amount of cash in the direction of Captain Cook Crescent, Griffith.
The male offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 5'8" (178cm) tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black t-shirt wrapped around the lower part of his face, a dark coloured long sleeved t-shirt, and dark-green coloured cargo pants.
Police attended the scene shortly after and conducted a search of the area however were unable to located any persons matching the description.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious persons in the area, around the time of the offence or who know the identity of the offender to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
