ACT Policing has released a face fit image of a male suspect responsible for a sexual assault on a 35-year-old woman in Kambah on 23 January 2010.

The crime occurred around 2am on Chirnside Circuit in Kambah. The female victim was walking on a footpath when a male approached her asking for a light for his cigarette.

The offender has followed the victim, who turned and confronted him. The victim was struck across the face and she fell to the ground, where she was sexually assaulted.

After the victim struggled and screamed for help, the offender then ran off in the direction of Drakeford Drive.

The offender is described as an Aboriginal male, aged between 20-25 years, approximately 5’10” (178cm) tall, stocky/solid build, wavy dark hair about 4-5cm long and clean-shaven with a moustache.
