2008 National Career and Employment Expos
AFP representatives from various business areas including Human Resources, Forensics and Protection will be attending the 2008 National Career and Employment Expos being held around Australia in the coming months.
The National Career and Employment Expos provide a great opportunity to talk face to face with current AFP employees regarding recruitment questions, various career opportunities and for further information. The Expos also promote the AFP’s work prospects across the different business areas and strengthen relationships between the AFP and the community.
In 2007, the Expos attracted more than 160,000 people Australia wide, allowing a significant number of people from Australia’s existing and future workforce to directly engage with AFP representatives. The Expos are also a very effective information-gathering medium for a variety of potential applicants, from school leavers to the mature-age market.
The 2008 Expos are coming to a city near you on the following dates:
- Perth: 4 and 5 April
- Hobart: 18 and 19 April
- Adelaide: 2 and 3 May
- Sydney: 9 and 10 May
- Melbourne: 16 and 17 May
- Brisbane: 23 and 24 May
- Canberra: 21 June
- Darwin: 29 and 30 August
