Transfer from another police service
“The professionalism of those I served with [on a joint overseas deployment] inspired me then to consider a career move to the AFP. It was quite difficult to cut the ‘umbilical cord’ to the Victoria Police, especially after 25 years. But I found that I was able to adjust quickly and found it easy to fit in and be accepted.”
Federal Agent Shane Baker, Timor Leste Police Development Program
