What attracted you to the AFP?
I saw a job ad in the paper one day and thought it seemed different. The position was Project Officer to the ACT Chief Police Officer which sounded like an opportunity to have an influence in an important area of Government.
What are your impressions so far?
I’m delighted with the opportunities the AFP has given me for an interesting variety of work. I worked for 2 years as the Project Officer to the ACT Chief Police Officer. I then spent a year overseas with the IDG working in PNG and the Solomon Islands. For the last two years I’ve been running the ACT Policing’s Policy Team which deals with the whole range of policing issues from local community concerns to national policing strategy.
