Internal Audit
The AFP’s Chief Audit Executive is the Manager Internal Audit and Business Analysis (MIABA) who reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. MIABA also has direct access to the Commissioner should it be considered necessary.
Internal Audit (IA) and the AFP's Audit Committee (AC), were both established in 1985. Both IA and the AC operate under Charters approved by the Commissioner that allows them discharge their duties an independent manner.
