What attracted you to the AFP?
I joined the Austraian Protective Service (APS). I was swayed by working in the outdoors and also the financial gain. I wanted a job that wasn’t based at a desk. I wanted some action.
What are your impressions so far ?
I have worked for the APS for 4.5 years. I commenced in Protection at Parliament House, which included working for the bike squad. Then I applied for the Canine Unit in 2005 and I started my course in August 2005. I have been with the Canine Unit since then and now work for Aviation. I like working with the dogs. I like the opportunities for deployment. There is a lot of good camaraderie.
