ABDC Bomb Safety Awareness Kit

Extensive study and experience have shown that the community at large, including government and private enterprises, needs to be involved in "self determination" when dealing with Bomb Threats.

The Australian Bomb Data Centre Bomb Safety Awareness Kit comprises procedures and recommendations derived from the experiences of national and international police, security and law enforcement agencies.

The kit aims to provide management with a background on which to formulate in-house policy and to develop strategies to counter this threat. It also examines threats, briefly describes improvised explosive devices - "bombs", and explains liaison with police and ultimately how to handle threats if and when they occur.

The Bomb Safety Awareness kit is intended for use by security managers as part of an organisation’s 'Emergency Control Organisation' (ECO). It contains advice which, given due consideration and implementation, should result in increased protection to your most valuable assets, the people and structures that house them.
