All matters for the Australian Federal Police (AFP) to investigate should follow Protocols for referrals to the AFP and use the AFP Referral Form (PDF, 77kb).
- Making telephone requests in exceptional circumstances only
- Contact numbers for police assistance for residents of the ACT only
AFP Operations Coordination Centre and AFP Operations Monitoring Centres
The AFP Operations Monitoring Centres receive all referrals from any Australian state or territory relating to offences against the Commonwealth only. Initial enquiries are to be directed to the AFP Operations Monitoring Centre (OMC) in the corresponding state or territory where the suspected offences occurred.
