The Australian Intelligence Medal is awarded to individuals in National Intelligence Community organisations who have given distinguished service that directly contributes to national intelligence priorities, requirements or capabilities.

The Australian Intelligence Medal recognises distinguished service by individual members of the ten organisations that comprise the National Intelligence Community.

Recipients are entitled to the post-nominal ‘AIM’.
