Commissioner’s Commendation for Hazardous Service
The Commissioner’s Commendation for Hazardous Service is awarded to individuals for devotion to duty whilst operating in hazardous circumstances and/or environments.
The Commissioner’s Commendation for Hazardous Service is awarded to individuals if they have demonstrated devotion to duty whilst operating in hazardous circumstances and/or environments, whilst undertaking core business and adhering to the corporate values of the AFP.
Design
The Commissioner’s Commendation for Hazardous Service is a drop ribbon with an antique silver AFP platypus symbol attached ten millimetres up and centrally to the base of the ribbon. The reverse of the drop ribbon has an attachment brooch at the top.
The ribbon consists of dark blue stripes representing policing, and dissected with four bands of white and edged on the left border in yellow, the colour of wattle. The white stripes are in turn bordered by thin stripes of red representing danger or hazardous circumstances.
