Commissioner’s Group Citation for Hazardous Service

The Commissioner’s Group Citation for Hazardous Service is awarded to individuals for collective devotion to duty in overseas service whilst operating in hazardous circumstances and/or environments.

The Commissioner’s Group Citation for Hazardous Service is awarded to a group of individuals who have demonstrated collective devotion to duty in overseas service whilst operating in hazardous circumstances and/or environments, whilst undertaking core business and adhering to the corporate values of the AFP through the application to their duties, work requirements, mission, operation, or role within the AFP. Members of the group involved each receive the award.

If in the event an individual is awarded the citation on a further occasion, a new citation with a silver numeral applicable to the issue occasion is awarded.

The Commissioner’s Group Citation is a silver coloured metal frame with blue, red, yellow and white striped ribbon. The dark blue represents policing, and is dissected with four stripes of white and edged on the left border in yellow, the colour of wattle. The white stripes are in turn bordered by thin stripes of red representing danger or hazardous circumstances.
