Operation PROTECT Citation

The Operation PROTECT Citation recognises the part played by the AFP in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Operation PROTECT Citation is awarded to individuals who were serving on or after 13 March 2020, until such time as the AFP response to the national pandemic response is declared to be at an end.

Design

The Operation PROTECT Citation ribbon colours represent the various emergency and medical services working together to combat the threat of COVID-19, which is represented by a red stripe.

For AFP employees, this citation is automatically processed for issue by AFP Honours and Awards when all eligibility criteria are met. There is no need to apply.
