The Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal recognises 22 years’ service in full-time police services. From 1 May 1956, eligibility was extended to Australian police services.

The Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was superseded in the Australian Honours System in 1975 by the National Medal.
