Malunggang Indigenous Officers Network (MION)

The Malunggang Indigenous Officers Network (MION), is a voluntary internal network which fosters and supports the recruitment, retention and career development of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians.

The network promotes diversity by raising awareness and educating AFP employees on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander issues. Members of MION are also actively involved in community events and career days.

MION was created in 1995 and has grown to a current membership of more than 100 AFP appointees representing a number of nations, groups and tribes of Australia and the Torres Strait Islands including:
