Anthony

Anthony joined the Organisational Health area of the AFP, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Management. Anthony was selected to undertake a number of rotations within Organisational Health and an external rotation in an Intelligence area.

What type of work did you do during your graduate year?

Working in Organisational Health, I was given the opportunity to work on a project that was targeted at improving the health of the AFP’s workforce. The project gave me the opportunity to liaise with different stakeholders across the AFP with a common goal of improving support for AFP members and encouraging members to seek support. I was able to use my educational background from both health and management to assist in the development of a program to offer support to police in reflecting and monitoring their emotional and physiological response to potentially traumatic events. This program was rolled out across nine teams of the AFP.

What was the highlight of your graduate year?

Having the opportunity to travel to a number of AFP locations around Australia as part of different teams and meet a diverse range of AFP members, both sworn and professional.
