Police seek to identify man after incident in Jervis Bay

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man involved in an incident in Jervis Bay on Wednesday, 15 November 2017.

About 6pm, a 13-year-old girl was approached by a man on a footpath in the parkland in the area of Chambers Street, Jervis Bay Village. The man took hold of the girl’s arm briefly before she fled the area.

The man is described as being approximately 190cm tall, aged in his 30s with a tanned complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a white singlet and blue underpants.

Australian Federal Police officers in Jervis Bay are investigating the incident and have issued a composite image of the offender.

Members of the public that may recognise the man depicted in the composite image, or have any information that could assist police,  are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or through act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
