A man sought by South Australia Police as part of the Crime Stoppers national fugitive hunt, named Operation Roam, was arrested in Thailand on 13 September 2016. The warrant for this man alleges that he was instrumental in the sale and supply of illicit drugs.

Acting with the assistance of the Australian Federal Police (AFP), the Royal Thai Police (RTP) arrested the 57-year-old man in the city of Phuket.

Information provided to Crime Stoppers following the Operation Roam campaign suggested the wanted man might be in Phuket. AFP liaison officers worked with the RTP to locate the man, positively identify him and place him under arrest.

Operation Roam is an annual operation that aims to apprehend key persons of interest across the nation.  This is a joint national operation between Crime Stoppers, Australian Police Agencies and the Australian community.
