Four to face court in Sydney after extradition from Dubai

Four men are scheduled to appear before the Sydney Central Local Court tomorrow (18 September 2017) to face charges relating to their alleged involvement in international criminal syndicates. All four Australian nationals were arrested on 8 August 2017 in Dubai during two multi-national law enforcement operations. They arrived in Australia after being extradited from Dubai last night.

Man arrested for child sex offences

Detectives from the South Australia Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET) yesterday arrested a man for child sex offences. The 45-year-old western suburbs man was charged with two counts of possession of child exploitation material. It will be alleged that the victim is under the age of 14 years.

AFP seeking man over child sex offence

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is seeking information on the location of a 56-year-old Slovenian national believed to be in Australia. On 13 July 2017, an Extradition Arrest Warrant was issued for Joze Smit (aka Joza Smit and Joseph Smit) who is believed to be in Australia. He is wanted in Slovenia to face charges relating to an alleged child sex offence.
