International Missing Children's Day

Children go missing all around the world every day – in Australia, two young people under the age of 18 are reported missing every hour.

International Missing Children's Day raises awareness of the phenomenon of missing children globally. The National Missing Persons Coordination Centre works with the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children to implement this campaign through the Global Missing Children's Network.

The Global Missing Children's Network involves a number of countries working together in an effort to protect children.

The main purpose of International Missing Children's Day is to encourage everyone to think about children who remain missing and to spread a message of hope.
