National Operations State Service Centre

National Operations State Service Centre (NOSSC) teams are situated in all AFP Commands around Australia providing a centralised entry point into the AFP for the Australian community, law enforcement and other Commonwealth and International partners, such as:

  • Single access point and personal interface for State, Territory and International law enforcement, Commonwealth agencies and the Australian public for:
    • Report’- being an allegation that a crime has been, is being, or may be committed
    • Request’- being a request for investigative service (search warrant assists, mutual assistance requests, some family law matters and some forensic services).
  • Provide engagement through the AFP International Network to Foreign Law Enforcement Agencies
  • Provide engagement for State and Territory Police
  • Operational and incident response coordination for the AFP
  • Intelligence and information exchange for all incidents and other matters

NOSSC Watchfloor

Located in Canberra, the NOSSC Watchfloor provides a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week single point entry for all State, Territory and International law enforcement, Commonwealth agencies and the Australian public after hours and for time critical matters.

The AFP NOSSC receive all referrals from Australian States or Territories in relation to offences against the Commonwealth. Initial enquiries should be directed to the AFP NOSSC in the State or Territory where the suspected offences occurred.
