Correcting the record: Operation Guardian
It has been incorrectly reported that the AFP has urged Medibank Private customers to call Triple Zero (000) if they are contacted by individuals threatening to expose their personal data.
As advised yesterday, customers should contact ReportCyber at cyber.gov.au if a person contacts them threatening to release data unless payment is made.
People were advised to call Triple Zero if they believed they were at imminent risk.
