Three charged for offering to supply 15 kilograms of cocaine

Australian Federal Police (AFP) investigators have charged three men in Sydney for allegedly offering to supply approximately 15 kilograms of cocaine. The men are scheduled to appear in Parramatta Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 25 July 2020).

Yesterday (Friday, 24 July 2020), AFP officers arrested a 28-year-old man, 50-year-old man and 22-year-old man in Sydney for allegedly offering to supply approximately 15 kilograms of cocaine.

The three men have each been charged with one count of supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, contrary to section 25(2) of the Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985 (NSW).

The maximum penalty for this offence is life imprisonment.

AFP Commander Investigations, Eastern Command, Kirsty Schofield said the AFP is committed to protecting Australians from the harmful impact of dangerous drugs.

“No one is immune to the consequences of being involved in the drug trade. The three men charged as part of this investigation have been outsmarted and now risk life behind bars,” Commander Schofield said.

Enquiries are continuing.
