AFP Museum

Gathering and preserving objects and their stories to commemorate federal police operations

About us

Founded in 1992, the AFP Museum has collected and preserved objects and archive material that tell the exciting and inspiring story of the AFP since its inception as the Commonwealth Police Force in 1917.

We act as a valuable resource for education, where the Australian community can learn more about the history and achievements of federal policing, locally, nationally and internationally.

Our museum provides a space where employees can feel pride in their workplace, contribute to storytelling and celebrate our mission to protect Australians and Australia's interests.
